Phoenix Bay is associated with government and harbour ferry services in Port Blair. It is a separate boarding location from Haddo. Use the current DSS sailing and issued ticket to establish whether your journey departs here.
Prepared by Andaman World Travels Private Limited
DSS lists Phoenix Bay harbour links including Bambooflat and Hope Town. A harbour journey and a longer island reservation use different service categories; select the correct one before looking for tickets.
For Havelock, Neil or another island, consult the dated notice and boarding instructions. Do not assume every government sailing uses one terminal, or that a ticket counter’s location is the vessel’s boarding point.
Choose the matching service: Government ferry booking guide Haddo private-ferry terminal
Use STARS or the official counter arrangements for the relevant category. Keep the issued ticket and any eligibility document. If seeking a concession, confirm the accepted proof through DSS.
An online booking facility being available does not mean a counter or terminal stays open at all hours. Confirm reporting and local access for your particular sailing.
Send the driver the terminal written on your ticket. Allow time for identity checks and the walk to boarding, and ask for assistance in advance if needed.
If changing between a private ferry at Haddo and a government service, allow for baggage collection, road transfer and a new reporting deadline. Two independent tickets are not a guaranteed connection.
When collecting or enquiring about a ticket, ask staff to identify the vessel’s actual boarding point. A counter visit is not check-in. If the terminal changes, send the corrected instructions to everyone travelling with you and to the driver.
For harbour travel, check whether the ticket covers one direction or a return and when it is valid. For an inter-island trip, use the released sailing and passenger category. Keep these ticket types separate in a family itinerary.

Practical answers to help you plan, book and board with confidence.
No. Reach the terminal on your ticket. Similar island destinations do not make the two boarding points interchangeable.
No. Government services can use different boarding points. Follow the dated ticket and current DSS notice rather than assuming a terminal from the operator type.
Explore our ferry guidance and compare available tickets here. Your issued ticket supplies the final boarding instructions.
For a government inter-island journey, check the announced booking window and availability for non-islanders. A vessel’s total capacity is not the number of tourist seats available. With fixed holiday dates, compare confirmed private options early rather than relying on a last-minute government ticket; the guide below explains the planning choices.
Confirm the route, travel date and passenger details. AWT can also help arrange hotels and jetty transfers separately.
